Stephen

Being the oldest of nine children means you don’t get away with very much since everything this guy does gets multiplied by nine thanks to his built-in fan club. He has a good even disposition and we joke with him that he was the child we tested all our parenting theories on.

Sebastian

If you are a guest in our house, Sebastian is the one who gets you tea or coffee and makes sure you have enough to eat. Watch out what you say around him though, he will impersonate you word for word after you’ve left.

Carolina

Carolina is our comedian and mommy-in-training. She has a sharp wit.  If in talking to her, you manage to get a sentence out of her without the word “horse” in it, I would personally be shocked.

Augustine (a.k.a.  August)

Augustine is my peace-maker and is frequently seen mediating between siblings, although he is fiercely competitive when it comes to board games and sports.

Maddalena (a.k.a. Maddy)

Maddy is quiet but don’t let her fool you.  At home she holds her own among her six brothers and usually gets her way.

Basil

Basil is our cunning behind-the-scenes boy.  He and Padraic are the dynamic duo. We are starting to get wise to the fact that whenever Paddy gets into trouble, Basil is not far behind.

Padraic (a.k.a. Paddy)

True to his Irish name, he has the gift of gab. He is loudest singer in church. He just belts out whatever comes to mind.  He is Basil’s other half and has been known to answer to his brother’s name as well as his own.

Francesca (a.k.a Frankie)

Francesca has a real sense of style that we all find amusing. If we pick out something for her to wear that she doesn’t approve of, she acts very insulted and gets angry. We should have known we had a fashion diva on our hands when her first words were “shoes-shoes”.

Anselm (a.k.a. handsome)

Anselm can’t wait on the rest of us slowpokes to get him baby food so he has taken matters into his own hands or mouth as the case may be. His favorite things to snack on are his sister’s flip flops. mmm …yummy.
