Rob speaks to Lyon County Republicans at annual picnic
We were warmly received by the Lyon County Rebublicans this past weekend at their picnic. Rob spoke for about 15 minutes on critical issues facing our nation and listened to the concerns of Lyon County Rebublicans.
Home sweet home!
As promised, I am putting up some interior pictures of the house. (all I have to say is, thank goodness for cropping capabilities..you can’t see the pile of laundry to the left and the stack of dishes to the right in these shots..on second thought my house is always this clean with nine children!)
The first one is of our friend Luke Koch who built our cabinets out of Alder wood. Luke is a true craftsman and came up with a lot of neat ideas in keeping with our rustic theme such as using some of his old horseshoes for my wine rack and the chicken coop wire on the cabinets. Doesn’t he look proud as a peacock in this picture?!
The second picture is the masterpiece antler light fixture built by our neighbor, Chris Passmore, from deer that his sons’ shot. When it is turned on, it shines right through the bay window in the front so you can all admire it when you drive by!
House is all finished…
at least for now. I got this really neat light fixture for the bathroom that I wanted to share with you. Mike Schumann, our electrician, gave me a really hard time about my complicated light fixtures…he said they are a pain to hang. If he only knew the mental energy expended in order to choose that light fixture, he would know he had the easier job!
Stay tuned for some more interior pictures, once I get the boxes out of the way!
